Checking You Receive The Correct Data Allowance From Your Internet Provider

A little help especially for you lex....

A friend of mine recommend this site which is highly used by professionals in testing your internet capacity!!! The site is- SPEEDTEST

Here is a youtube link on- speedtest  Basically you click on map anywhere you like and it will automatically test your upload and download capacity, when complete click on 'New Server' then repeat again with different 'any' area on the map. I would suggest doing this process about 4/5 times to get a fairer outcome.

Speedtest.net is free web based provider which reviews Internet access, like data connection rate. It was founded in 2006 by Ookla and resides in Kalispell, Montana. Basically the site 'pings' over signals to various destinations which returns to you and gives a download and upload speed. It is reliable, where over 5 billion tests have been made by some important individuals and companies worldwide!!! Wikipedia on Speedtest

When your happy with your results then basically go to your providers details

Sky?

Virgin?

BT?

You may have different provider but basically go on line, phone or check bills to see what your paying and more importantly what your allowance (Internet) is.
Compare your speedtest results and what quite often happens is what you have been told you should receive by your Internet provider is actually not what you realistically receive.

Pulling wool over your eyes

Then its over to you to shall we say debate this matter with your provider....
